Oghere means the space between in Igbo. You say it oh-GAIR-ay. It is the distance between the person someone is and the person they know they could be. Most companies build software. We are building the technology that closes that distance, and we are deliberate about who builds it with us.

The work

A brain, not an app.

The app is the surface: three honest minutes of reflection a night, and a mirror that shows people the self they are actually practicing. Underneath it, we are building something much larger. A system that learns how a person actually changes. What they avoid, what they repeat, what their resistance protects, and what keeps them moving when motivation runs out.

That system is the company. The methodology is permanent: help people see themselves with evidence and close the gap between who they are and who they are becoming. The technology behind it will change many times, and it should. Every new capability that emerges, in models, in inference, in health data, in whatever comes after, is another instrument we can put behind the same purpose. We are not building for one wave of technology. We are building an enterprise designed to absorb every wave that follows.

Open source models are not the cheap alternative. They are the future of serious AI companies. Weights you can run, tune, and own are how a company builds intelligence that belongs to it, instead of renting intelligence that belongs to someone else. People will not hand their most honest three minutes a night to a black box in someone else's cloud, and enterprises are learning the same lesson at scale: your intelligence is your asset, and you protect it like one. The companies that matter over the next decade will own their brains. We don't want to wake up one day to "Claude's mental health" created by our data.

What this is not

This is not a wrapper. If your instinct is to put a thin interface on someone else's API and call it a product, this is the wrong room. We use frontier tools where they serve us, but the value of Oghere lives in what we own: the methodology, the signal extraction, the pattern memory, and eventually the models themselves. You would be here to build a moat, not a skin.

What you will build

The Oghere brain. A reflection engine that turns spoken nightly reflections into structured signals about identity, habit, and resistance. A pattern memory that compounds over months and years, so the system knows a person better in year two than any journal ever could. A privacy architecture worthy of the most honest data people will ever produce, with a real roadmap toward private and on-device inference.

And then the frontier: health data. Sleep, movement, heart rate, recovery, paired with what a person says about their day. Reflection tells us what someone believes about themselves. The body tells us what it costs them. Put those together and you get something that does not exist yet: a true understanding of how motivation works in a specific human life, and what actually keeps a person encouraged to chase what they could be. That is the product we are really building, and you would be its architect.

Who you are

You are magnetic. People build better around you because your conviction is contagious and your standards are visible. You love technology the way some people love music: you follow it, you play with it, you have opinions about it that you can defend at dinner. You have shipped real systems, you have strong instincts about open models and applied ML, and you get restless when a company treats technology as a cost center instead of the whole point.

You also care about the human problem underneath. You believe technology should help people become who they are trying to be, and you want your best years to compound into something that outlasts a product cycle.

Who you will work with

You will work directly with the CEO. He is a lover of technology who has spent his career inside big tech and startups, watching different products change how work scales, and a storyteller who built Oghere from a single idea: most people do not have a discipline problem, they have an identity problem. He handles the story, the community, and the demand. You handle the machine. Two people, full ownership of their halves, one shared conviction.

Compensation

Compensation is a conversation, not a bullet point. We will be direct with you about the stage and the plan, and we expect the same directness back. Start with the Constitution. It is how this house shares what it earns.

Technology will change. The mission will not.
